Towering mountains, dramatic fjords and lush green hillsides, Welcome to Lofoten Islands, the most picturesque region in Norway!

The Lofoten Islands are draped across the turbulent waters of the Norwegian Sea, far above the Arctic Circle. Due to the area’s diverse landscape, visitors can choose to go hiking, skiing, fishing, ocean rafting or scuba diving. Lofoten is also one of the world’s northernmost sites for surfing and certainly one of the best spots in Norway.
The Venice of the North
The visit to Lofoten Island begins with its most famous fishing village, Henningsvaer, also known as the Venice of the North. Comprising of many islets that spread across the waters of Vjestfjord, Henningsvær has the most well-preserved architecture of the traditional Norwegian villages, quirky cafes and restaurants, the Hus Gallery, and a burgeoning adventure scene. Elegant quayside buildings and Rorbu cabins (traditional Norwegian seasonal houses used by fishermen) line the main street of its famous harbour. In winter, it becomes the centre of the world’s greatest cod fishery.
The World’s Most Beautiful Place
Not to be outdone, Reine is a tiny but incredibly scenic fishing village. With its striking red and white Rorbuer (historic fishing cabins now converted for tourism accommodation) dotting the shoreline and surrounding peaks of granite shooting out of the Reinefjord, the village has the reputation of being the world’s most beautiful place. Reine is also known for its breath-taking hiking trails and perfect location for chasing the Aurora Borealis from September to April.
Crab Safari
No visit to Lofoten Islands is complete without an adventure to the pristine seas in a Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB). Visitors can experience traditional crabbing gathering practices with locals and securing their catch of the day, enjoying a scrumptious meal at the end of the excursion.
